Uncertain sickness and health issues are part and parcel of our daily routine. But what if it is for extended period? Suppose for a second, if one of your potential employees is sick or suffering from any health risk for a longer period of time, then what will you does? Ahan, don’t make airy guesses, now you need a health and safety policy to handle such situations.
Health and safety is of prime importance. Whether you are an employer or an employee, health and safety is called as life line for your organization. Suppose, you are jolting with sick and insecure employees, what will be the effect?  Off course, your business or organization will drop down. So, don’t take risk and just make a comprehensive health and safety policy for your potential employees so that you can take the real nectar of their skills and expertise.
What exactly this health and safety policy is?
Safety and being healthy is very much necessary at work places. It is a duty of an employer or an organization for which you are working for to make a standardized and up-to-date health and safety policy to handle health risks and sudden accidents which may destroy employee’s safety. Construction industry, mines, industries, workshops, factories and other businesses involve great amount of physical activities of their employees need health and safety policy to ensure a healthy and safe work place and to avoid such fatal accidents.

What the Health and Safety Act 2010says:
Health and Safety Act 2010 abide the employer for a complete surety of health, safety and care of its employees.  Furthermore, the health and safety Act 2010 (revised) says that:
A person conducting a business or undertaking must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable,

That the health and safety of other persons is not put at risk from work carried out as part of the conduct of the business or undertaking.
the provision and maintenance of a work environment without risks to health and safety; and
the provision and maintenance of safe plant and structures; and
the provision and maintenance of safe systems of work; and
the safe use, handling, storage and transport of plant, structures and substances; and
the provision of adequate facilities for the welfare at work of workers in carrying out work for the business or undertaking, including ensuring access to those facilities; and
the provision of any information, training, instruction or supervision that is necessary to protect all persons from risks to their health and safety arising from work carried out as part of the conduct of the business or undertaking; and
that the health of workers and the conditions at the workplace are monitored for the purpose of preventing illness or injury of workers arising from the conduct of the business or undertaking.
a worker occupies accommodation that is owned by or under the management or control of the person conducting the business or undertaking; and
the occupancy is necessary for the purposes of the worker’s engagement because other accommodation is not reasonably available,

The person conducting the business or undertaking must, so far as is reasonably practicable, maintain the premises so that the worker occupying the premises is not exposed to risks to health and safety. A self-employed person must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, his or her own health and safety while at work.

Children of all ages went from booth to booth at the station theater Friday to learn about being healthy, staying fit and remaining safe on a day-to-day basis. The children spoke with the fire department, different sections of the Naval Health Clinic, Semper Fit and many local organizations that volunteered to help support the Marine Corps. “It is important for children to receive this information young,” said Berna Crosby, Semper Fit special events coordinator. “This event was not only good for the children, but the adults as well. It teaches them how to help promote helath and fitness with their children.” The next special event scheduled to be held by Semper Fit is the Cherry Point Sprint Triathlon and Relay Aug. 17. For more information on special events, call 466-2208.
